Raghu has worked as an SVP Creative Director at Ogilvy for the last 6 years, working across both HCP and patient accounts. With over 25 years of award-winning experience across all facets of healthcare communications—professional, digital, DTC/DTP, relationship marketing, B2B and managed care, he is passionate about creating meaningful communications and is driven by making real differences in the lives of patients and their families. Raghu has extensive experience in diabetes and cardiology and his device experience spans Philips and Covidien Respiratory.
Raghu began his healthcare career at an earlier incarnation of this very agency, working on the launch of the first ever DTC brand, Nicorette. He has worked on products that span the entire range of healthcare communications, from HCP to DTC to relationship programs across a breadth of therapeutic categories—cardiology, metabolics, gastroenterology, oncology, women’s health, and respiratory— collecting numerous awards and accolades along the way.
Raghu lives with his wife in Manhasset, Long Island. He has two children, a son who 4 years after college, embarked last year on a 4-year 100+-country world trip, and a daughter who is about to graduate from college this summer. He is hopelessly addicted to trivia, global politics and history, and has been laboring over the last decade and a half on a multi-volume historical novel that spans the 20th century—that he hopes to publish by the end of this century. He is a voracious reader who reads 4 newspapers every day and every issue of the New Yorker, Economist, and Atlantic from cover to cover. And as an avid runner, he can be spotted up and about his neighborhood at 5 AM.
